Share. Cultivate. Love. Charlotte.
Love Charlotte is designed to be a vehicle for expressions of care and collaboration, of expressing love for and in our beautiful city. Our coalition was founded when nonprofits, faith leaders, marketplace and community members assembled out of concern for the City of Charlotte. Today we work together to focus attention on organizations already performing essential work in our neighborhoods and see a wider coalition of concerned organizations and individuals to align under one common purpose to Love Our City.
Join Us on our mission . . . to Love Charlotte.
Who We Are
To raise the level of love, and lower the degree of acrimony in the city and the 15 county region; to foster greater levels of unity among organizations and individuals who demonstrate care in the city, as well as peace-talks; and, to champion the work of agencies that are already doing great things in the city, but are often unknown and unheralded.
To launch a movement of love and care in Charlotte, and eventually in the surrounding counties, that expresses and demonstrates love for the city and its people by businesses, ministries and churches, agencies and charities; and to launch a movement of prayer and care, and on that foundation, gospel engagement in the city through grassroots training and encouragement of anchor congregations in neighbors found in each of the city’s patrol divisions.
Love Charlotte is a 501 c 3 non-religious, non-profit with a purpose to share & cultivate love throughout Charlotte.
Love Charlotte is designed to be a vehicle for expressions of care and collaboration, of expressing love for and in Charlotte. It is not a faith-based entity, nor is it hostile to faith. It is hopefully a bridge of various streams to express concern for the city, allowing organizations and individuals to align with the purposes of the movement, without specific faith presuppositions.
Mission Charlotte is a sister nonprofit organization designed as a coalition of organizations to engage the city and its environs with a prayer, care, share strategy that aims to adopt every home for specific by name prayer and care by a believing neighbor. To connect those praying neighbors and encourage neighborhood expressions of care, particularly in distressed areas of the city, and that, in collaboration with anchor or lead churches. To find ways to teach and train upward mobility – with the poor and distressed in view. To incarnate the love of Christ. To see, as a first-stage city impact goal, ten percent of non-practicing believers turn to Christ.
