Mission Charlotte August Prayer Guide

Please use the following Scripture and prayer points to guide you through praying for our city during the month of August. Churches across the city will be using the same text to cover our city in prayer

Prayer Warriors, thank you for your commitment to consistently pray for Charlotte. You can download and share this image on social media on the day that you’ve committed to pray, as a reflection of unity and love for our city.


The Church

Pray for unity within the many churches that are experiencing leadership changes.

Pray that those who don’t know Christ would be drawn to the unity that they see amongst believers.


Praise as CMPD/Chief Putney hosted a ‘Bridging the Difference’ gathering, bringing faith leaders together around reducing crime in communities in Charlotte through collaborative effort’s.Pray for continued conversations from this meeting, that they would lead to unity.

Pray for CMPD, first responders, and active members of the military.


Pray for boldness and wisdom for men and women as they are “on mission” in the workplace.

Pray that all believers would live “on mission” for the Gospel, no matter their occupation.


Pray specifically for children’s ministries in Charlotte. That they would have the energy to finish their summer programing well.

Praise for the opportunity that these ministries have in coming alongside parents in discipling their children.


Pray for youth living in poverty that do not have the same access to food during the summer as they do during the school year.

Pray for the over 550 youth in the Mecklenburg County foster system.

Unreached People Group

Pray for the 3,971 Russians that reside in the Charlotte – Concord – Gastonia area.

Pray that the Church in our city would be welcoming and loving to those moving here from other countries. Pray that the Church would live out biblical hospitality.
